<!-- β Episode 292 --> {{EpisodeInfobox | number = 292 | title = Unknown | hosts = Arif Hasan, James Pogatshnik | guests = Matt Lombardo | type = Preview }} '''Norse Code Episode 292''' featured a preview of the Minnesota Vikings' upcoming game against the New York Giants. == Overview == The episode covered the Stefon Diggs situation, previewed the Giants matchup with guest Matt Lombardo, and featured an extensive mailbag addressing topics from Janoris Jenkins' performance to NFL terminology and the team's offensive philosophy. == Segments == ; Opening : New donor acknowledgments and live show announcement ; Stefon Diggs Discussion : Analysis of the ongoing situation ; Giants Preview : Guest segment with Matt Lombardo ; Mailbag : Listener questions covering team performance and broader NFL topics == Mailbag Questions == * Luke Braun - Real question: Is Janoris Jenkins good? * Henry - I could look this up, but I'm lazy so it's easier to tweet at you. The names of all positions make sense to me except offensive tackles. Why are offensive tackles not called edge-guards or something? They aren't allowed to tackle!! * Raul - NFL wins seem so fragile. If a penalty isn't called on the Trubisky fumble, then we may be riding high after a win. Compared to other professional sports, NFL games seem more influenced by chance occurrence rather than skill. Is this an accurate assessment? * Ian Pauli - Breaking away from the elephant in the room, where is the offensive line right now in regard to where you thought they would at the quarter mark in the season, performance wise? How much reasonable room for improvement is possible going forward this year? Also, how happy is Arif that he has the Seahawks to fall back on? * Sam - Is this two losses that we normally take in any given season against stout division foes? or is this a team that just isn't good against good teams? * Aaron - What does Kirk have to do in order to sucker the Vikings into another big contract after next season? * Kenneth Allen - Do you think the Vikings will try a more balanced or pass-heavier offense Sunday regardless of their success on the ground? The reasoning is that they need to show themselves and the league they can pass if needed, and when else except against one of the worst defenses in the NFL? * Beef - I'm going to get a jersey and want to go with a lesser-known player. Which one will be the least embarrassing to wear in a decade: Mataafa, Ham, or O'Neill. I don't want to repeat the Nishioka mistake of 2011. * Mick - Everyone talks about the window of the defense. With these UDFA players becoming quality starters, is the defense really the window we should be concerned about? Would it not make more sense to worry about only having high quality Diggs/Thielen/Cook for three more years? * Kyle Slaybee - Compare this season in the Zimmer Era to a season of the Simpsons. Have we reached Zombie Zimmer status; can you compare the signing of Cousins to the Principal and the Pauper? * HVAC Repairman - what is the best tv show with the worst fan base and what's the worst tv show with the best fan base * Eddie - best oktoberfest tradition? * Ryan - Is the internet ready for Matty Matheson's own YouTube channel? * Don from Ohio - Since @bigmono just found out he has a conjuned twin in his wrist/hand do you think he should: offer the twin to his cannibal step son? allow the twin to manage his NCFFL team? kill the twin so it doesn't have to suffer as a Vikings fan? Also asking about chili toppings for a work potluck. == Guests == Matt Lombardo joined to preview the Giants game. == Key Bits & Lore == Don from Ohio contributed multiple questions, including his characteristic blend of Vikings analysis and personal anecdotes. The episode featured a live show announcement for a November 29th taping at Pet Ah Skeys (Petoskeys). == Production Notes == Opening segment timestamped at 3751-7017. Live show announcement for November 29th special edition from Petoskeys. [[Category:Episodes]] [[Category:Season 2019]] β
